The BCC engaged Emery’s through public tender to provide principal contractor services for the redevelopment of an existing building in Greenways Business Park. From the start the team were superb, and charged with an incredibly tight deadline. They were instrumental in hitting milestones dictated by funding criteria. Simon, Ashley and the team knitted well with the architects and project managers to ensure we were able to hit the completion deadline, and were great fun to work with along the way.

I have known Emery Brothers since 1960 . At that time both C H BEAZER & Sons Lts & Emery Brothers Ltd belonged to the same Builders Federation. In the early days, they were known by us as Contractors specialising in Smaller Contracts working from their Batheaston Office. Their scale of work has now substantially increased not only in size but in complexity such as their Contract on Bath Abbey, work which requires craftsmanship of the highest standards. In the last ten years, we have employed Emery Brothers to maintain our own private houses. Some of this is difficult as the properties are in certain cases 400 years old & require sensitive care & treatment. Emery Brothers is an ethical firm, fair in their business practices to all their constituents, but beyond that, business with them is a pleasurable experience. Their company is well managed at many levels. We personally deal with JON SAMSON, who is an excellent  Ambassador for the firm.

We were fortunate enough to be clients of Emerys and worked together with them to carefully develop our thatched cottage. They did a beautiful job. Maintaining the property in line with its tradition and ensuring it blended perfectly with the surrounding countryside. We have no hesitation in recommending Emerys - they are consummate professionals, with a strong attention to detail and exquisite workmanship. Their customer care is exemplary too. We couldn’t be happier.

Emery worked on an extensive project at our house on Bathwich Hill in 2022. Work started at the end of February and was completed by the end of November. The remit was to refit,  in its entirety, the lower ground floor Kitchen dining room, storage rooms laundry and larder, and build a large glass construction on the back of the house going out into the garden. The team was composed of many different skilled operatives. They all performed over and beyond their calling. We remained on good terms with the firm and with the employees. The house next door has been sold and when asked we thoroughly recommended Emerys, who then won the contract. Why use Emerys? Efficient, excellent communications and the firm is large enough to put staff on site even when some fall ill or have to be elsewhere.

Emery Bros recently completed a conversion of vacant upper floors in our listed building at Milsom Street, Bath. The standard of workmanship and quality of work was of the highest order and the project was delivered on time and within budget. The professionalism of the Emery team was exemplary, and their proactive management of issues and problems was especially helpful given that the design team was based in Northern Ireland and site visits were limited. We would have no hesitation in recommending them for similar projects or indeed employing them in the future.

We had a fantastic experience using Emery for our commercial fit-out from barren warehouse to TV production studios. They worked hard from the get-go to make adjustments to the tender to better accommodate our budget, and any variations were openly discussed. The project came in on time and within budget - the team understood how important this was to us. In the year following completion, Emery dealt with any defects swiftly and effectively. We would certainly use them again, and indeed, we already have. A big thank you to Stuart, Gavin and the rest of the team for taking many of the stresses out of this project and for providing a fantastic service.

We completed an extension to a 370-year-old listed farmhouse. Working on such properties always presents a range of unknowns and difficulties which requires a contractor with a flexible and adaptable approach. Emerys certainly demonstrated this and the result was a beautifully finished new extension which blends seamlessly into the rest of the house.

We asked Emery’s to reconfigure a large section of our house and construct an Orangery. Their quote was competitive. Their professionalism was unparalleled. Despite some changes on our part to the specification the work was completed on budget and on time. Emery’s also came up with some excellent ideas of their own. Their communication was excellent and most importantly they took all the stress out of the situation. I am so proud of what they created and would not hesitate to use them again.
